Lipid profile tests are done through generic blood tests. Blood sample is taken through a vein in your arm or using a lancet to draw blood from your finger. You may be advised to be on fasting prior to the test. A lipid profile tests provides figures of: Triglycerides, total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL).
